If you've never been there, it is quite an amazing site. It isn't easy to get there. But, millions of people find there way there every year. The little town of Keystone, and the entire area, benefit. Parking was $10. And there are plenty of trails you can walk.
When I was there, one of the original carvers was in the gift shop and I had a chance to chat with him.
I was there on Sept 11th. It was important for me to be there that day. There was a sense of reverence.
